Things are about to get celebratory over here with Jude and her sidekicks Lizzy and Ringer. Both gals are tickled pink upon hearing the news of Jude E. McNamara’s release of her upcoming debut novel Black Sequinned Bows And Champagne Nights.
All three of these gals are bursting in excitement. As a matter of fact things are downright out of control on the celebratory front. Champagne bottles are starting to pop every other day now. Jude has momentarily turned herself into a Type A personality totally running off the charts on the Meyer Briggs Scale. She’s a thinker-feeler turned anal-retentive. She’s been checking everything twice with her peeps at Two Judes Publishing. It’s no surprise that I find myself repeating myself every other hour, encouraging her and her sidekicks to calm down. I got this! But I admit I’ve surrendered over, joining them in popping the champagne bottles early so these gals can kick their heels up and take a serious chill pill.
Jude’s gals have gone into overdrive. Lizzy is beside herself. And Ringer, (she’s a dead ringer for Margot Robbie) has started crushing on the Captain, all over again. They’ve been stalking my protagonist’s every move, swooning and drooling. Lizzy claims he’s her new “book boyfriend” and Ringer is running around telling every male that will listen, “if you like it then you better put a ring on it.” They both have practically turned the whole matter of which one of them is going to catch the Captain first into and out and out competition. It’s turned into a huge catfight with Jude as the referee. Never mind that she has her own plans for the Captain. And her name is Riley.
Did I mention Lizzy dropped into Neiman’s last week maxing out her Daddy’s American Express Black Card? And Ringer? That girl has gone plum crazy. She took a private jet to Paris today on the scout for a Versace original once she heard Jude had extra tickets to the infamous Memorial Gala. The Captain (oh yeah, he’s the Master of Ceremony) is attending (you’ll have to read the book to come up to speed on that), and now he’s all Lizzy and Ringer talk about. They claim they’re on the scout for an “officer and gentlemen.” Can you see me shaking my head?
