Bring on spring Mother Nature. We’re ready to get our read on! No doubt 2018 came in rocking and rolling at high speed as family health matters took a front seat to everything else. But thankfully things are back to normal. We’re back mixing it up here at Two Judes Publishing, hard at work on upcoming releases planned for later this year.
Yes, it’s hard to believe we’re halfway through May already. Mother Nature sent us beautiful weather today on the East Coast. This means the good news is we can get out around town to find our favorite cozy places to read, be it the local café, library, back patio or front porch.
The best thing about the indie author journey is the opportunity to connect directly with you the reader on this journey of love we’re having with romantic storytelling. Jude’s current work in progress is a second chance romance where our hero gets another bite at the apple of re-kindling a long lost love with a heroine who wants nothing to do with him. You probably know that guy. He’s the one coming in hot, ready to sweep you off your feet as if the two of you never had a past. So you know this is going to be good, right? It gets even better. We were was so excited about this work particular work in progress we took the advice of a fellow writer pal nudging us forward, and participated in this year’s annual Carina Pitch held on Twitter (@judeemcnamara)end of April. Here’s just one of the pitches for Jude’s current work in progress:
He’s given up the only woman he’s ever loved, marrying another to save his family’s empire. Now widowed, his company needs a new face for its brand–hers. She’s at the top of her game, living her dreams on the me, myself and I track. But sometimes business interests can merge. Do broken hearts merge too?
We’re keeping our fingers crossed this pitch will strike a cord with the powers that be, because this new love story is going to be a roller coaster ride filled with striking twists and turns. Jude’s favorite North Carolinian beta reader has already read a few chapters and is hammering Jude for more. We take that as a good sign that this novel will indeed rise to the occasion. Be sure to be on the lookout for the release of this WIP, (Chasing Winter) before year’s end.
And before we forget, the narrator’s edits are finally done on Jude’s audio book version of her release of Black Sequinned Bows And Champagne Nights. Many of you have read this five star romance story, but for those of you who haven’t, the audio book makes a great option for when you’re riding a train, taking a long commute to work, vacationing on the beach, or just listening while you work.
